Care and Cleaning of Your Tub and Shower Surround

Wait 24 hours before using your refinished surface

USE ONLY NON-ABRASIVE OR LIQUID CLEANERS. DO NOT USE  HARSH ACIDS OR CLEANERS THAT CONTAIN BLEACH! These materials can discolor or damage the surface causing premature wear. We recommend Lysol® Tub & Tile Cleaner,  Scrubbing Bubbles®, or 409® cleaner that is specifically formulated to safely clean refinished surfaces.

USE ONLY A NON-ABRASIVE SPONGE OR DAMP CLOTH. Abrasive cleaning pads can dull or scratch a refinished surface.

ALWAYS RINSE THOROUGHLY after cleaning, and wipe the surface dry.

DO NOT ALLOW ANY CLEANERS OR CHEMICALS TO REMAIN ON THE SURFACE for an extended period of time before thoroughly rinsing.

TIPS:

  • For best results, spray the surface with a liquid cleaner and let it sit for 3-5 minutes before cleaning with a damp cloth or non-abrasive sponge.
  • Clean the finish regularly with soap and sponge (this is called surface  conditioning).  PLEASE NOTE:  All newly refinished surfaces will have some surface dust which will have settled into  the new surface.  Do not be alarmed;  because the surface is still within its long term cure period,  normal use and regular cleaning will usually remove all minor surface dust marks.
  • If you choose to use a mat for your bathtub, make sure that it does not have suction cups. You should also remove the mat after you’re done using it.
  • It is important that you do not leave soap, shampoo bottles and other items on the surface that has been refinished. The chemicals in some of these products can cause your surface to peel or become discolored.

Warranty:

We offer two types of written warranties: Standard, one year warranty or Extended, five year warranty, written on the back of your invoice. This warranty will cover cracking, peeling, bubbling or failures of adhesion. However, your warranty will not include neglect, regular wear and tear, damage caused by accidents and chips If you choose to use a mat for your bathtub, make sure that it does not have suction cups because this will void your warranty for any damage caused.
Avoid using any type of suction mounted accessories such as soap dishes, shampoo and conditioner holders, and, most importantly, suction type bathtub mats. These products will pull on the refinished surface 24 hours a day, and over time they will ruin the coating of your surfaces. Also, make sure that you don’t use acidic solutions on your finished surface, such as grout cleaners, hair dyes, perfumes, other cosmetic products and drain openers, which can cause damage. You are not given any guarantees against rusting or chipping.
Your tap must not drip! Dripping taps will damage the finish over time. A dripping tap will void the warranty if finish around drain is damaged. Abuse, misuse, improper cleaning or accidents, will VOID ALL WARRANTIES.
